The barn up for renovation was a now disused chicken facility. With years of neglect surrounding the building, an extensive refurbishment was necessary.
The initial steps involved removing all old chicken coops from inside the structure and stripping both internal and external walls for assessment. After completing repairs and conducting deep cleaning over the winter months, all surfaces were pressure washed to create a sterile environment for future production of goods.
Work could then begin for setting drains and concrete for the new health code flooring to be laid. Whilst the flooring was being laid work began on the external façade, a simplistic square edge cladding was adorned across the entire property and a sleek finished to a once delipidated barn.
With external works completed, the focus for the team was for onsite joinery to create a new a cosy feeling reception room for all clients to enjoy the fruits of the land wine tastings.
A sleek modern kitchen island with butler sink was created for staff and guests to use for the cash register and glass washing facilities. A timely feel of panelling was added to create a homely feel with a log burner for those chilly winter months.
Following up from the foyer was a simple partitioning system to designate areas for the working environment of the vineyard. One for the distillery, one for aging barrels, and one for land cultivation tools. The team also provided handcrafted double ledge and brace doors to elegantly separate each segment.
