Once the concrete a foundation had been poured, it was time for the team to set into action. We worked closely with the steel erectors to ensure a smooth build across the board. With the team in full swing showing all areas of a complex timber framing project such as load bearing walls, counter lever roofing and standard roofing systems to name a few. With both new build structures ready for zinc roofing and external cladding within scheduled time.
Alongside construction of the two timber frame projects, our team started a strip back of a once rot riddled barn adjacent to the more modern sections.
With structural issues and subsidence to contend with, our team worked closely with our verified contractors list to ensure the character of the original barn was retained and restored to its former glory.
Once structural issues had been rectified, final measurements were made to restore the barn’s once crumbling roof, back toward the backbone of the building once again.
The team moved swiftly into manufacturing of oak trusses for the main roof and smaller mono trusses for the eves of the build setting the true character for the once dilapidated barn. With the structural works completed our team were finished until the next stage was ready.
Phase two of Attleborough consisted of a smaller internal fit out of a newly refurbished section on a barn at the front of the property. With full internal fit outs including kitchen, bathrooms, doors and flooring throughout. The team worked diligently to ensure the client’s vision of old and new with a ‘rustic’ feel throughout the common rooms. However, finishing off with a very rich royal blue kitchen to set the tone of modern twist within the open plan kitchen lounge diner.
